Pressure-treated lumber for frame and slats (2x4s and 1x4s)
Wood screws (2-inch and 3-inch)

Brad nailer or hammer and nails

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Frame Construction:

Cut four 2x4s to the length of your desired bed base. Assemble the frame by screwing two 2x4s parallel to each other, with the other two 2x4s perpendicular at the ends. Ensure the frame is square by measuring the diagonals.

2. Slat Support:

Cut 2x4s to the width of your bed frame. These will act as slat supports. Space them evenly across the inner perimeter of the frame and secure them with wood screws.

3. Slats:

Cut 1x4s to the length of your bed frame. These will serve as the slats that support your mattress. Space them evenly on the slat supports and attach them with screws or nails.
