How to Make a Queen Loft Bed Frame

8 4x4 posts, 8 feet long
8 2x4s, 8 feet long
8 2x4s, 6 feet long
1 sheet of 3/4-inch plywood, 4x8 feet

Instructions:

Cut the 4x4 posts to length. The legs of the bed frame will be 6 feet long, so cut the posts to 6 feet 6 inches to allow for the thickness of the plywood platform.
Assemble the legs of the bed frame. Use wood glue and wood screws to attach the 2x4s to the 4x4 posts. The 2x4s should be flush with the top of the posts.
Assemble the platform of the bed frame. Use wood glue and wood screws to attach the 2x4s to the plywood. The 2x4s should be spaced evenly apart, about 16 inches on center.
Attach the legs of the bed frame to the platform. Use wood glue and wood screws to attach the legs to the corners of the platform. Make sure that the legs are square and level.
Sand the bed frame and apply paint or stain if desired. Once the bed frame is assembled, sand it smooth and apply paint or stain as desired.
