How to Install Summer Infant Bed Rail
Installing a bed rail is an important step to take when your child is old enough to start climbing out of their crib. A bed rail can help prevent your child from falling out of bed and getting hurt. If you're not sure how to install a bed rail, don't worry. It's a relatively easy process that can be completed in just a few minutes.
Here are the steps on how to install a Summer Infant Bed Rail:
Step 1: Gather your materials
Before you start, you'll need to gather the following materials:
- Summer Infant Bed Rail
- Screwdriver
- Drill (optional)
- Measuring tape or ruler
- Pencil
Step 2: Measure and mark the placement of the bed rail
Once you have your materials gathered, you'll need to measure and mark the placement of the bed rail. To do this, first measure the length of your child's bed. Then, divide that number by two to find the center of the bed. Mark the center of the bed with a pencil.
Next, measure the height of the bed rail from the top of the mattress to the floor. Mark this height on the bed frame, directly below the center mark you made in the previous step.
Step 3: Install the bed rail
Now it's time to install the bed rail. First, line up the bed rail with the marks you made in the previous step. Then, insert the screws into the holes on the bed rail and tighten them with a screwdriver.
If your bed frame is made of metal, you may need to use a drill to create pilot holes before you insert the screws. To do this, simply drill a small hole at each of the screw holes on the bed rail.
Step 4: Test the bed rail
Once the bed rail is installed, test it to make sure it's secure. To do this, gently shake the bed rail from side to side. It should not move or wobble.
If the bed rail is not secure, tighten the screws until it is. You may also need to adjust the height of the bed rail so that it is level with the top of the mattress.
Step 5: Enjoy the peace of mind
Now that the bed rail is installed, you can enjoy the peace of mind knowing that your child is safe and sound in their bed. Bed rails are a great way to prevent falls and injuries, and they can give you peace of mind knowing that your child is safe.
