2. Assemble the side rails:

Place two 84-inch side rails parallel to each other, 60 inches apart.

Attach the 60-inch slats to the side rails using wood screws. Space the slats evenly, about 5 inches apart.

Repeat to create the other side rail.

3. Assemble the headboard and footboard:

Create two identical frames using the 84-inch side rails and 12-inch slats.
